What an elevation chart shows, how buyers use it to choose floor, facing and stack, and when the LinkTown Residences chart will be released.
The elevation chart is where a floor plan turns into a specific home. For LinkTown Residences (Hougang Central Residences), it has not been released yet. When it is, it will show every block, every stack and every floor in the development of about 830 homes, and which unit type sits in each position.
What an elevation chart shows
Picture each residential block drawn flat, like a grid. Across the top are the stacks, the vertical columns of units that share the same layout and facing. Down the side are the floors. Each box in the grid is one unit, labelled with its unit type and often its size.
- Blocks: each block usually gets its own chart or its own section of a combined chart.
- Stacks: numbered columns, for example stack 01, 02 and so on. The stack number is usually the last digits of the unit number.
- Floors: from the lowest residential floor to the top. On an integrated site, the homes often start above the commercial podium.
- Unit types: colour coded, so you can see at a glance where each layout sits.
- Special units: penthouses or larger units on the top floors, if any, appear as merged boxes.
The chart does not show facing on its own. For that, you match the stack numbers against the site plan, which shows which direction each stack looks towards.
How buyers use it
Choosing a floor
Higher floors are usually priced higher. Decide what height means to you: a view, less noise or more breeze, or simply a quicker lift ride. On a site with a mall, a bus interchange and a town plaza, the lower residential floors may be closer to the activity, which some buyers like for convenience and others avoid.
Choosing a facing
Once you know which stacks face which direction, you can weigh morning or afternoon sun, views towards the town plaza or open areas, and proximity to the bus interchange. Some buyers also have feng shui preferences on facing and floor numbers, such as avoiding the number 4. These are personal choices that can affect resale demand.
Choosing a stack
The same unit type can appear in several stacks. Compare them: an end stack may have more windows, while a middle stack may be more sheltered. Use the floor plans to check whether a stack’s layout is mirrored or different.
Tip: before booking day, shortlist three or four units across different stacks and floors. Popular launches often use a ballot to set the order in which buyers choose, and your first choice may already be taken by your turn.
When the chart will be released
To be announced: the elevation chart for Hougang Central Residences, including the number of blocks, stacks per block, floor counts and where each unit type sits. It is normally released alongside the price list and floor plans. The launch is expected early 2027, and UOL’s August 2026 results guide a 2H 2027 launch. We will publish the chart here once it is out.

After launch: from elevation chart to balance chart
Once sales start, the elevation chart becomes the base for the balance units chart, where sold units are marked off. Pair either one with the price list to see what each position costs.
