People searching for a LinkTown Residences (Hougang Central Residences) video usually want one of three things: a film of the project, a walkthrough of the showflat, or a feel for the neighbourhood. None of these has been released for the project yet. This page lists the videos we plan to publish, what each will and will not show, and where to look while you wait.
All LinkTown Residences videos are to be announced. The developers, a joint venture of CapitaLand Development (50%), UOL Group (40%) and Kheng Leong (10%), have not released a project film, and the showflat has not been announced. The launch is expected in early 2027, and UOL’s August 2026 results guide a 2H 2027 launch. We will add each video to this page as it becomes available.
Videos we plan to publish
1. Developer project film (TBA)
New launches are often introduced with a short film built from computer renderings: the blocks, the landscaping and the link to the mall and transport. When one is released for Hougang Central Residences, remember that it is an artist’s impression of a building due for completion around 2030/2031, not footage of the finished homes.
2. Showflat walkthrough (TBA)
Once the showflat opens, a walkthrough video of the model units and the scale model is usually the quickest way to get a first look. It complements the virtual tour, which lets you move through a unit at your own pace. Neither will show every unit type, because only some types are built as model units.
3. Site and neighbourhood clips (TBA)
These are clips we plan to film ourselves around Hougang Central, covering places buyers ask about:
- Hougang MRT (NE14), which the development is directly linked to, on the North-East Line and a future Cross Island Line interchange.
- The bus interchange: a new Hougang bus interchange is to be integrated into the development.
- Hougang Mall, about a two-minute walk away, and the town centre around it.
- Weekend spots such as Punggol Park, Hougang Sports Centre and Punggol Community Club.
The site is under development, so any site clips will show the surroundings and the work in progress rather than the future mall or homes.
How to watch project videos critically
- Renderings are illustrative. Lighting, views and landscaping in a project film are idealised.
- Model units are dressed. Furniture, lighting and some finishes in a showflat video may be for display only.
- Check against the plans. Compare what you see with the floor plan’s strata area and the site plan once both are released.
Walking times and distances in any video are approximate. Check routes yourself, and verify school distances on OneMap once the address is confirmed.
