A 2 bedroom lives or dies on how well its floor area is used. For LinkTown Residences (Hougang Central Residences), no virtual showflat has been released yet, so this page sets out what to look for when the 2 bedroom tour does arrive, and what you can do in the meantime.
The 2 bedroom virtual tour is to be announced. When the developers release the virtual showflat, usually around the preview, we expect to publish the 3D walkthrough or 360° tour of any 2 bedroom model unit here, together with the final floor plan. Which unit types will be built as model units has not been announced. The launch is expected in early 2027, and UOL’s August 2026 results guide a 2H 2027 launch.
Start with the indicative layout
The indicative 2 bedroom premium plan is about 678 sq ft. It references the developers’ recent project Parktown Residence and is not LinkTown Residences’ final plan. Read it first on the 2 bedroom floor plan page, so that when you open the tour you already know where each room should sit.
Room-by-room checklist for the virtual tour
At around 678 sq ft, small inefficiencies add up. Use the tour to test how much of the area you can actually live in.
Entrance and corridor
Note how much floor goes to passageways. A short or absent corridor usually means more space in the rooms themselves. Look for a spot for a shoe cabinet near the door.
Living and dining
Pause the tour and ask whether your own sofa and a dining table fit, not the slim display pieces. Check that the route to the balcony stays clear.
Kitchen
Most compact layouts use an open kitchen. See how much counter and cabinet length there is, and where the fridge and washing machine go.
Master bedroom
Look at the wall space left once the bed is in, and whether there is room for a wardrobe that opens fully.
Second bedroom
This is the room that decides whether the unit works for you. Check its shape for a nursery, a study, or a tenant’s bed and desk.
Balcony, AC ledge and household shelter
These count towards the strata area. Estimate how much of the total they take up, because that space is not part of the rooms you furnish.
Who a 2 bedroom tour is most useful for
Young couples, singles who want a spare room, downsizers and investors comparing layouts from overseas tend to get the most from a virtual tour. It lets them shortlist before booking a viewing slot, and share the layout with a partner or parent who cannot come along.
Virtual tour or showflat visit?
Use the virtual tour to shortlist and to prepare questions. Use the physical showflat to judge ceiling height, light and finishes. In a compact unit, what feels tight in person can look spacious on screen, so try to see both.
Tip: screenshot each room during the tour and write the question beside it, for example “is this wardrobe included?”. Bring the list to your showflat visit.
